From Stage Crew Chief land, part une

Wow, it has been a long time since I have posted on here!  My apologies, but since TFB(The Final Battle) doesn't really get rolling until we are done in Florida, I haven't had much to say.  However, I do now!  I went down to Mallory's house (Mallory is the director/co-creator/producer/wonder woman of TFB) during Memorial Day weekend to work on the flats for the show.  We began painting the stonewall flats that will serve as the standard background for all of the scenes in the show.  Also, we designed and drew out the "junk" that is in the Room of Requirement.  I will say that I have most certainly learned a new respect for artists/designers.  Taking something from a concept on a piece of paper to actually trying to draw it to scale on a wooden surface is not easy.  However, I have found that it is not only my father who has artistic (in the way of drawing/painting) genes. I may not be the most amazing artist ever, but I am proud of what I made.  Day one was a little confusing because Mallory just told my fellow artiste and myself to just put stuff on the flats.  Just random things.  So, in brainstorming, we came up with just that.  There are various references to other things we all know and love, such as Doctor Who and Lord of the Rings, but hopefully the majority of it looks like it belongs in the Harry Potter world.
