Well, I have been at my internship for almost two weeks now... I just got this whole blogging thing straightened out. So far I have cut, bent, ground, and welded steel for approximately a week and a half. We are building a 15 foot tall bird cage for Mid Summer and it has to be structural because the actors will be climbing it... The other few days that I have been working I spent on building the Jig for the giant birdcage. So basically, I built a giant thing that we then used to start building an even more giant thing. It has been pretty stressful but fun at the same time because I am getting to put to work skills that I we don't use in our shop very often, and I am also getting to make a lot of the decisions about how to go about doing the actual construction.

Everyone here is really good at what they do and I am excited to be working with them. The shows are going to be great and the sets will be even better!
